The Hærvej route consists of a bicycle route and a hiking route. On the general map, the bicycle route is marked in blue and the hiking route in red. Some parts of the hiking route consist of small footpaths and roads that are not suitable for bicycles. The trips are planned in order to ensure passing as many sights as possible along Hærvejen.
